Mission

Through our comprehensive program, My Forest Village Preschool will provide our students with the academic and emotional tools necessary to acquire independence and achieve success throughout their learning careers.

Vision

At My Forest Village Preschool, our mission is to foster a transformative shift within society by emphasizing the vital significance of holistic early childhood education. We aim to create a profound understanding of the profound benefits that come with cultivating well-rounded global citizens.

Our Program

The W.I.S.D.OM Curriculum is a combination of Montessori, HighScope, and Reggio Emilia. We custom designed our curriculum largely based on the research behind the ideas of meaningful learning, developmental processing, and the promotion of children’s skills through Constructivism Theory. W.I.S.D.O.M includes both theoretical influences and research-based evidence.

My Forest Village is a “hands-on” curriculum which makes learning attractive by focusing on and promoting personal learning. We inspire children to learn by interacting with real objects and real situations. We constantly challenge their intellect, through educational material, and environmental consciousness that helps develop every aspect of their educational, physical, and social growth.

Dual-Language Program

Recently, research has compared the performance of "bilingual children" (those with roughly equal language skills) with that of monolingual children and found the former group to have superior performance, especially in metalinguistic abilities. There is conclusive data supporting that even language minority students in bilingual education programs, who are in the process of learning English, can benefit from some of the advantages of bilingualism.

These studies contradict the argument that bilingualism in itself might cause cognitive confusion in the child, and support the idea that bilingualism can lead to higher levels of metalinguistic awareness and cognitive ability. In general, they point to the many benefits of learning and maintaining at least two languages for children of all languages with diverse learning backgrounds. (MSE) (California Univ., Los Angeles.
